27. Threats a. Written or verbal acts that would cause significant distress or fear in a reasonable person or that a reasonable person would interpret as a reasonable expression of a threat or intent to inflict harm upon any person, group of people, or damage to any property. 28. Unauthorized Entry, Possession, or Use a. Unauthorized entry into or use of college premises or equipment including another student’s room. b. Unauthorized possession, use, duplication, production, or manufacture of any key or unlocking device, college identification card or access code for use in college premises or equipment. c. Unauthorized use of the college name, logo, registered marks or symbols; however, registered student organizations are permitted to use the word College as a part of their organizational names or to use the complete statement “a registered student organization at Beacon College.” d. Unauthorized use of the Beacon College name to advertise or promote events or activities in a manner that suggests sponsorship and/or recognition by the College. 29. Violation of Federal, State, Local Law a. Misconduct which may constitute a violation of federal, state local laws, and/or Beacon College policy will be considered a violation of this policy, and will be investigated and adjudicated through the college conduct system and standard of proof. A lack of conviction in any criminal proceeding will not, in and of itself, serve as evidence in a college conduct proceeding. 30. Wheeled or Similar Modes of Transportation a. Use of skateboards, rollerblades, scooters, bicycles, or similar modes of transportation is prohibited inside college buildings or academic classrooms. b. Use of skateboards, rollerblades, scooters, bicycles, or similar modes of transportation is prohibited outside when used in such a manner as to constitute a safety hazard or cause damage to college or personal property.
