b. Solicitation is defined as any activity that seeks to make contact with residents to collect information, sell items, or gain support such as, advertising, selling, petitioning, campaigning, distributing flyers, and surveying residents. c. Residents are prohibited from knowingly or willfully allowing solicitors to enter the residential communities d. Residents agree not to use any area of the residential communities for commercial or non-residential purposes. 14. Tampering a. Tampering with or propping open doors, and using any object to cover or obstruct the door locking mechanism, is prohibited. b. Misusing or tampering with elevators is prohibited. c. Tampering with or covering smoke detectors is prohibited. d. Removing windows or window screens, climbing in and out of windows, and throwing objects from windows are all prohibited. 15. Trash and Dumpster Policy a. Dumpsters are provided outside each residence building. Each resident is responsible for regularly removing trash from their room and common spaces. Disposing of trash anywhere other than designated bins or dumpsters is prohibited. 16. Vandalism a. Vandalizing College property is prohibited. Vandalism includes, but is not limited to, writing, carving, or defacing property; tearing down signs; and damaging furniture. This applies to the property of individuals, groups, doors, walls, and bulletin boards.
Room Assignments
New Students : Room assignments for new students are made by the Office of Housing and Residence Life based on the information provided in the housing application, including preferences and compatibility considerations. Assignments are made on a first-come, first-served basis
