Student Handbook 2025-26

In the event of an injury or illness that affects the student-athlete’s ability to train or compete, the student-athlete must immediately inform the coaching staff and athletic health coordinator (or other designated medical personnel). The College will not terminate or reduce the scholarship solely due to a bona fide injury or illness sustained during sanctioned team activities, for the duration of the academic year, provided the student-athlete remains otherwise in compliance with this Agreement. However, the student-athlete is still required to meet all other obligations (academic, behavioral, etc.) while injured, to the extent possible. While Beacon College is aware that the USCAA allows for NIL and that there may be opportunities for Student Athletes to benefit from NIL, Beacon College itself does not participate via the use of any Collective or directly through its Athletic Department. More information on the USCAA’s NIL policy can be found at section 24.5.7 titled: Name, Image, and Likeness and Amateur Status. Any student-athlete that wishes to benefit from their NIL must disclose to the college the same and solely undertakes all responsibility for compliance with all applicable federal, state and local laws, as well as applicable USCAA and Beacon College policies. Name Image and Likeness (NIL)

Health Insurance Policy

In consideration of our students’ health and well-being, Beacon College strongly recommends every student maintain adequate private health insurance coverage, whether or not Beacon requires them to do so. It is in our students’ best interest to be able get the medical treatment they need throughout the academic year without having the added stress of the financial burden associated with seeking that treatment.
