Pre-Orientation Webinar Location: Livestream https://us02web.zoom.us/j/84834473300 Join us for a pre-Orientation webinar! During this time, we’ll discuss the steps to complete prior to your arrival, the check-in process, and go through the Orientation schedule.

Incoming Student Check-In & Move-in Location: Student Center | 118 E. Main Street, Leesburg, FL 34748 Welcome to Beacon! During check-in, you’ll receive your housing key and complete the clearance process; faculty, staff, and student leaders will be on hand to answer questions. Once your check-in has been completed and you’ve taken a picture for your student ID, spend the day moving into your new home and setting up your room! Parking is available across the street from the Student Center, accessed via Magnolia Street.

Move-in / Campus Tour Location: Meet at RAP/PAR Courtyard for optional tour Use this time to get moved into your new space, shop for supplies, or get to better know your new community! If you’d like to participate in a campus tour, meet at the RAP/PAR Courtyard at 2:30 p.m . Meet Hanah Diebold, Associate Dean of Student Engagement and Community Standards, as she introduces you to your Orientation Group and shares an overview of the Orientation schedule. Building Independence: Essential Life Skills for College Success Location: Student Center This workshop will help students explore how self-management and practical skills support personal and academic success, focusing on time management, personal health, and goal-setting to build resilience and adaptability. Student Social – Welcome to Beacon Location: Beacon Oasis Join us for fun & games as we welcome you to Beacon College! Lighting the Flame and Late-Night S’mores Location: Beacon Oasis As you become members of the Beacon Community, join us for this new student tradition. Enjoy a late-night chat by the fire pit, complete with s’mores! Introduction to Orientation Location: Palace Theater

Orientation Group Meeting Location: Dining Commons
Following breakfast, all students will meet their OLs and Orientation Groups at the Dining Commons to attend their first Orientation session of the day. Accuplacer: Reading & Writing Assessment Location: PC Labs Your Orientation Leader will have more information about the room and location where you will be expected during this time. Throughout Orientation, students will rotate through sessions with their Orientation Group and their Orientation Leader. During these rotations, students will hear from a variety of offices and support resources that will help the students transition to life at Beacon College. Your schdule for Rotation 1 is below with descriptions for each session: Group 1 | BH 107 | Navigating Social Relationships and Self-Advocacy Building meaningful connections and advocating for oneself can be challenging, but these skills are essential for personal and academic success. This session will empower students with practical strategies to navigate social situations confidently and advocate for their needs effectively. Led by the Community Educators and staff from the Counseling and Wellness Center, this session offers expert guidance to help students strengthen their skills and foster self-empowerment. Group 2 | 2nd Street Classroom | Safety at Beacon College Learn about personal safety and meet a few of the staff from Campus Safety. This session is led by the Director of Campus Safety, Jeff Baird. Group 3 | Getzel Classroom | Academic Success at Beacon College Learn the best way to get to know your faculty and meet their classroom expectations. Navigate resources like CANVAS and communicate effectively with your professors. This session is led by Beacon College faculty members.

Please join Orientation Leaders, students, and families for a special lunch. Take time for final farewells, pictures, and hugs before families depart campus. Student Orientation Rotation #2 Group 1 | 2nd Street Classroom | Safety at Beacon College Group 2 | Getzel Classroom | Academic Success at Beacon College Group 3 | BH 107 | Navigating Social Relationships and Self-Advocacy Student Orientation Rotation #3 Group 1 | Getzel Classroom | Academic Success at Beacon College Group 2 | BH 107 | Navigating Social Relationships and Self-Advocacy Group 3 | 2nd Street Classroom | Safety at Beacon College Meeting with Learning Specialists Learning Specialists offer individualized support unique to a student’s need and level (first-year, sophomore, junior/senior). During this time, students will be introduced to their Learning Specialist and learn more about the Learning Specialist’s role in their success at Beacon. Dinner Location: Dining Commons Come to the Dining Commons for dinner anytime during these hours!

Come bowling with us! We’re providing transportation, bowling games, shoe rental, and snacks for this fun event with fellow new students! Meet at the Student Center at 7:15 p.m. to board the Beacon shuttles for the evening social.

Learn about the PassioGO! app used by Beacon Transportation, as well as the unique transportation services available to students!

Learn about student rights and responsibilities, as well as what Title IX means within the Beacon community with Hanah Diebold, Associate Dean of Student Engagement and Community Standards. Lunch Location: Dining Commons Come to the Dining Commons for lunch anytime during these hours! Hall Meetings Location: Various locations around campus Learn about community living, housing policies, and meet other students living in your new community! Classroom Tour Location: Meet at Student Center Bring your class schedule for a tour around campus with our Orientation Leaders!

MLK Walk and Park Clean-up Location: Meet at the Student Center
Join for an afternoon of reflection and expression. Students will meet at the Student Center before then walking to the Venetian Center to participate in the MLK Walk. Plan accordingly with weather appropriate clothing and comfortable shoes.

Welcome Back Luau & Block Party Location: Beacon Oasis
Dinner is served during the Welcome Back Luau at the Beacon Oasis until 7:30 p.m.! Join new and returning students for dinner, music, games, & fun!
