9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. New Student Check-in & Move-in

Location: Student Center (118 E. Main Street, Leesburg, FL 34748)

Your journey begins here! During check-in, you’ll receive your housing key and complete the clearance process; faculty, staff, and student leaders will be on hand to answer questions.

Clearance offices include: Financial Aid, Registrar, Accounting Services, Health Services, and Housing & Residential Life. If you’d like

to expedite your check-in process, please complete and submit new student paperwork prior to your arrival on campus.

Once your check-in has been completed, spend the day moving into your new home and setting up your room!

Parking is available across the street from the Student Center, enter on Magnolia Street.

Introduction to Orientation and the Cohort Collective Location: Palace Theater (414 W. Main Street, Leesburg, FL 34748)

Meet Hanah Diebold, Dean of Students, as she introduces you to your Orientation Group and shares an overview of the Orientation schedule.

3:45 p.m. to 4:15 p.m.

Join us for a welcome from Dr. Dana Manzo, Vice President of Student Affairs, Dr. Kevin Reilly, Vice President of Academic Affairs, and Dr. George Hagerty, President of Beacon College.

Orientation Meetings Location : Dining Commons

Following breakfast, all students will meet their OLs and Orientation Group at the Dining Commons to attend their first Orientation session of the day.

9:15 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. Accuplacer Assessment Rotations Location: PC & Media Labs

During this time, students will rotate between Accuplacer Assessment English & Reading and Accuplacer Math. All students will take both assessments.

12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. BBQ Luncheon

Location: Dining Commons

Please join Orientation Leaders, students, and families for a special lunch. Take time for final farewells, pictures, and hugs before parents & families depart campus.

1:45 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Navigating Social Relationships and Self-Advocacy Location: Beacon Hall 107

Building meaningful connections and advocating for oneself can be challenging, but these skills are essential for personal and academic success. This session will empower students with practical strategies to navigate social situations confidently and advocate for their needs effectively. Led by the Community Educators and staff from the Counseling and Wellness Center, this session offers expert

guidance to help students strengthen their skills and foster self empowerment.

2:45 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Academic Success at Beacon College Location: Beacon Hall 107

Join faculty members Professor Brittany Strozzo, Professor Christopher Irving, and Dr. AJ Marsden to learn how to engage with faculty across campus in professional and successful manner. This informal panel discussion will teach students resources and support available to navigate academic success inside the classroom.

3:45 p.m. to 4:15 p.m.

Meet with Learning Specialists Location: Center for Student Success

Learning Specialists offer individualized support unique to a student's need and level (first-year, sophomore, junior/senior) . During this time, students will be introduced to their Learning Specialist and learn more about the Learning Specialist’s role in their success at Beacon.

5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Dinner & Break Time Location: Dining Commons

7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Student Social – VIA Arcade & Games Location: Meet at the Student Center at 6:45 p.m.

We’re taking students off-campus to the nearby arcade center . The College is providing arcade credit, but there’s more to explore – bowling, go-kart racing, mini golf, and more! Sunday, January 18, 2026

Spending time in an interactive workshop to learn about student accountability and tips for making the most of your time at Beacon.

11:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. Peer Mentorship at Beacon College Location: Beacon Hall 107

Learn more about the Cohort Collective – including students’ specific peer group, along with tools and resources meant to help students successfully navigate social groups and connections.

12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Lunch

2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Classroom Tours Location: Meet at Beacon Hall 107

Stop by Beacon Hall where OLs will be on-site to help you find your classrooms and map routes to your classes. Bring your class schedule!

Take time to reflect upon and celebrate the holiday with activities meant to inspire and unite.

10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. MLK Pathway Walk and Park Cleanup Location: Meet at the Student Center

Walk to nearby Venetian Gardens for the MLK Pathway Walk and give back to the community by helping clean up the park.

Dinner will be served until 7:00 p.m., but the fun lasts until 9:00 p.m.!
