Student Handbook 2025-26

 We focus on addressing and correcting behavior, not judging the individual.  We do not look for conduct violations and we do not attempt to “catch people” in order to confront them. However, we do not ignore issues and we aim for behavior modification and education by holding students accountable for their behavior.  We believe education is the key to prevention and reducing recidivism.  We use “more likely than not” as our evidentiary standard of responsibility (51%).

Jurisdiction and Authority

The Student Code of Conduct outlines the policies and procedures governing the College, its properties, activities, and departments. The Dean, or their designee, is responsible for enforcing these rules. Students who violate the Student Code of Conduct may be held accountable by both civil and criminal authorities, as well as by the College. Sanctions may be imposed for misconduct, whether it occurs on or off College property. By enrolling, all students agree to abide by the Student Handbook and all other College rules, regulations, policies, and procedures. The College reserves all rights in these matters. The Student Code of Conduct applies to students from the time of admission through the conferral of a degree. It also applies to students who are suspended, on leave, or still hold an enrolled status with the College. The College retains conduct jurisdiction over students who take a leave of absence, withdraw, or graduate for any misconduct that occurred prior to the leave, withdrawal, or graduation. If sanctioned, a hold may be placed on the student’s ability to re-enroll, obtain official transcripts, or graduate. All sanctions must be completed before enrollment eligibility is restored. In cases of serious misconduct committed while enrolled but reported after graduation, the College may apply these procedures, and if the former student is found responsible, the College may revoke their degree.
