The College assumes no liability for students who provide their own transportation to college-sponsored events. Emergency Protocol – In order to ensure that adequate assistance is provided during student emergencies, the following policy will be followed for all College-approved, off-campus activities: 1. The Trip Advisor(s) will account for the well-being of each student and contact the Associate Dean, or their designee, in cases of emergency. 2. The Associate Dean of Students, or their designee, will advise the Trip Advisor and apprise their supervisor and the student’s parent, guardian, or responsible party of what has transpired, when applicable. 3. Students not requiring medical treatment and those who are released by medical personnel will be transported to their Housing assignment. 4. Students requiring medical treatment will be transported to the local emergency room. A Trip Advisor will stay with the student until they have been transported to the hospital. 5. The Associate Dean will contact the Vice President of Student Affairs, who will in turn contact the President of the College and the student’s parent, guardian, or responsible party to inform them of the outcome and to receive further instructions. 6. The College assumes no liability for students who provide their own transportation to college-sponsored events.
