The suspension must be served while the Appeal is under review. The student filing the Appeal cannot participate in, nor be within the area of play of any sport, activity, or program, while the suspension is under review. Suspended students, including those whose appeal is under review, cannot be
a spectator, or in the parking lot of any event. All decisions regarding an Appeal are final.
Competitive Athletics Code of Conduct
At Beacon College, participation on an intercollegiate athletic team is both a privilege and a responsibility. Student-athletes are expected to uphold the values, responsibilities, and standards of the Beacon community. By joining a team, the student-athlete becomes a dedicated member of both our academic and athletic families, contributing to a culture of excellence, accountability, and leadership. Participation on a Beacon College athletic team carries with it expectations of sportsmanship, academic integrity, and a commitment to personal and team growth. Student-athletes are expected to maintain good academic standing, adhere to the policies of Beacon College and the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA), and actively contribute to a positive campus environment on and off the field.
The student-athlete must meet all requirements (academic, athletic, and behavioral) outlined below to maintain eligibility.
Academic Requirements The student-athlete must be enrolled full-time in a minimum of twelve (12) credit hours during each semester of athletic participation – and 24 annual credit hours – unless they have an approved accommodation under applicable disability provisions (e.g. as allowed by USCAA Bylaw 24.5.9 for ADA accommodations).
