review the circumstances related to the student’s behavior giving rise to the consideration of the involuntary leave.
In particular, a review will be made giving attention to whether the student engages in, or is judged to be likely to engage in, behavior that poses a danger or causes harm to self or others or disrupts the learning environment. The student and/or parent/guardian shall be informed of the involuntary leave or other determination as well as specific requirements to remain a student in good standing. The involuntary leave shall remain in effect until specific requirements for return are met. In any case, an involuntary leave shall be in effect for the remainder of the current semester, although a specific period of time shall be made on a case-by-case basis. The student’s academic record shall indicate “withdrawal.” All financial obligations remain in effect, and any refund shall be in accordance with the College’s refund policy.
A determination of involuntary leave can be appealed to the president of the College.

Student Complaints
Students are encouraged to discuss their concerns directly with the individual(s) involved. If the student feels uncomfortable directly discussing the concern with the involved faculty or staff, or thinks the concern will not be handled correctly, then the complaint should be made through the Maxient system:
