● Parent & Family Orientation: Friday, January 19 - Saturday, January 20, 2024 ● All meals for students are provided throughout the duration of Orientation ● Students are REQUIRED to attend all student sessions as listed in the Orientation schedule

Wednesday, January 10, 2024

7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Pre-Orientation Webinar Location: Livestream https://us02web.zoom.us/j/84933638499 Join us for a pre-Orientation webinar! During this time, we’ll discuss the steps to complete prior to your arrival, the check-in process, and go through the Orientation schedule.

Friday, January 19, 2024

11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Incoming Student Check-In & Move-in Location: Student Center | 118 E. Main Street, Leesburg, FL 34748 Welcome to Beacon! During check-in, you’ll receive your housing key and complete the clearance process; faculty, staff, and student leaders will be on hand to answer questions. Clearance offices include: Financial Aid, Registrar, Accounting Services, Health Services, IT, and Housing & Residential Life. If you’d like to expedite your check-in process, please complete and submit new student paperwork prior to your arrival on campus. Once your check-in has been completed, spend the day moving into your new home and setting up your room! Parking is available across the street from the Student Center.

Campus Walking Tour with Admissions (optional) Location: Meet at RAP/PAR Courtyard

2:30 p.m. to 3:15 p.m.

SPRING 2024

Students and their families are invited to take a brief walking tour with the Admissions Team to learn about the campus! Classrooms, support offices, and social hangout spaces will be reviewed to familiarize students and family members about life at Beacon College.

3:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Welcome to Beacon and Orientation Overview Location: Student Center

Hear from Katy Reinke, Associate Dean of Students and Title IX Coordinator as she welcomes you to the Beacon community. Meet Hanah Diebold, Director of Student Experience, as she introduces you to your Orientation Group and shares an overview of the Orientation schedule.

4:15 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Getting Involved at Beacon College Location: Student Center

Getting involved in college is one of the best ways for students to learn resources, find support systems, and build skills that will last beyond their time at Beacon. During this session, learn how to get involved at Beacon, where students can find resources for engagement, and discover ways to step outside your comfort zone! Break Time Use this time to rest and relax before joining our evening social! Parent and Family Social and Dinner Location: Palace Theater | 414 W. Main St., Leesburg, FL 34748 Join us for a welcome dinner with Dr. Hagerty - Beacon College President, Dr. Chandler - Provost, Dana Manzo - Vice President of Student Affairs, and additional faculty and staff from the College. Appetizers and socializing begin at 6:15 p.m. Formal program begins at 6:45 p.m.

5:30 p.m. to 6:15 p.m.

6:15 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Saturday, January 20, 2024

9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.

Breakfast Location: Palace Theater Stop by anytime to enjoy coffee, pastries, and fresh fruit before Parent and Family Orientation programming begins.

10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Spring Student Transition & Parent and Family Resources Location: Palace Theater & Livestream - https://us02web.zoom.us/j/89284814451

Students transitioning during spring semester may experience unique challenges and opportunities. During this time, we will dive deep and discuss what these might look like for your student, as well as the resources and supports available to assist during this time. Lunch On your own Get a taste of the Leesburg community by dining off-campus at a number of local restaurants. Resource Fair Location: Palace Theater While your student attends learning sessions, spend time getting to know the following campus partners during the Resource Fair:
