This overview of the Village Apartments is designed to help you get a sense of the space you will be living in, become familiar with your options and furniture, and prepare for residence life at Beacon College.

Bedroom C – This bedroom has a bed ( ) and separate double-door wardrobe ( ). The bed and mattress are TWIN XL . The mattress is approximately 6 inches deep x 36 inches wide x ≈80 inches long. The wardrobe is approximately 42 inches wide and 78 inches tall and contains two bottom drawers, an interior shelf and clothes rod. Bedroom A & B – These bedrooms have a combined bed and four drawer dresser ( ). The bed and mattress are TWIN XL . The mattress is approximately 6 inches deep x 39 inches wide x ≈80 inches long. B C D Bedroom Furniture Each bedroom is carpeted and has a closet for storage. The bedrooms are labeled as A, B, or C, and contain the following furniture. All supplied furniture is moveable in the bedroom and must remain in this space.

Shared Living Areas and Amenities Living Room E This space is shared by all the residents in the apartment. The living room is either carpeted or has vinyl flooring. We provide a couch, coffee table, chair, and end table/TV stand in the living room. We do not supply a TV for this space. The living room window dimensions are approximately 86 inches wide and 48 inches high. Hallway Closet There is a large closet with shelving storage in the common area. Bathrooms The bathroom floor is tile or vinyl. Each bathroom has a tub/shower, toilet, vanity sink, and a linen closet. The curtain rod is provided in all bathrooms, but you will need to supply a shower liner and shower curtain. Shower curtains MUST BE fire/flame retardant and have a visible tag indicating this. Kitchen/Laundry The kitchen area includes a full-size refrigerator, dishwasher, stove/ oven, and double sink, along with lots of storage. The kitchen also houses the washer and dryer. Please note – A microwave is not provided, but you and your roommates are allowed to have one microwave in the apartment. The microwave must be 1.1 cubic feet/800 watt or smaller . Cable & Internet There is one digital cable connection in the living room. There are Ethernet ports in the living room and all bedrooms. We suggest buying a network/Ethernet cord to plug into laptops, video gaming systems, etc. There is a Wi-Fi internet connection throughout the building. G + H F I + J Please note – desks and desk chairs are not provided. If you would like a desk, you will need to provide this furniture for your space. Each bedroom has a window with interior window dimensions approximately 34 ½ inches wide and 64 inches long. If you are interested in hanging a curtain in your room, we allow tension rods only . You may not install a curtain rod on your window. Curtains must be fire/ flame retardant and have a visible tag indicating this.
