B.A. in Studio Arts
BACHELOR OF ARTS IN STUDIO ARTS
As a studio art major at Beacon College, you will learn to think like an artist in a close-knit community that fosters creativity. You’ll begin with the foundations of studio work while expressing yourself through drawing, painting, photography, sculpture and ceramics.
Your studies will combine comprehensive hands-on experience with the conceptualization, design, and production of works of art expected at a professional level. A Bachelor of Arts in Studio Arts from Beacon College will prepare you for a career in the creative arts. The professional portfolio you create during your time at Beacon will open doors to jobs as an independent artist or an employee with a business, creative agency or cultural arts organization. We also prepare you to pursue an advanced degree in the arts.
outside THINK THE BOX
An increasing number of Beacon College students are choosing to combine their Studio Arts interests with a major or minor in Anthrozoology . They are using this creative combination to pursue such careers as an animal habitat designer. This minor provides an understanding of the human-animal bond, along with background in animal husbandry, conservation and humane education.
