College will send a Notice of Right to Reclaim Abandoned Property to the resident notifying that belongings remain in the residential space and must be retrieved. Residents will have fifteen (15) business days from that date, to arrange for the retrieval of their belongings. The College is not responsible for packing, storing, shipping, or safeguarding abandoned property during this period. If the property is not retrieved within fifteen (15) business days, pursuant to F.S. 715.109 Beacon College reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to dispose of, donate, discard, or otherwise remove the property without further notice, and the resident waives any claim against the College for the loss or disposal of such property. The College may also assess reasonable costs associated with the removal, storage, or disposal of abandoned property to the resident’s student account. New Students : Room assignments for new students are made by the Office of Housing and Residence Life based on the information provided in the housing application, including preferences and compatibility considerations. Assignments are made on a first-come, first-served basis Returning Students : A housing selection system based on credits earned is used for room assignments. Students with the most credits earned will select their housing for the next academic year first. Room Assignments
Special Accommodations
Students with documented disabilities or special needs must submit appropriate documentation to the Office of Housing and Residence Life to request accommodations.
