Computing and Internet Services

Acceptable Use

The purpose of Beacon College network access to the Internet is to support education by providing access to unique resources and the opportunity for collaborative work. Use of access must be for academic activities consistent with the educational objectives of Beacon College. Use of other organization’s network or computing resources must comply with the rules appropriate for that federal or state regulation; otherwise, such use is prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to, copyright materials, threatening or obscene materials, or material protected by trade secrets. Use of campus computing services for commercial activities is not acceptable. Use for product advertisement or political lobbying is also prohibited.
