At Beacon College, the Bachelor of Science in Anthrozoology explores the extraordinary relationships and interactions people have with animals. Our interdisciplinary program combines science and theory so you will learn how to: • Think like a scientist •Use critical thinking skills to evaluate situations involving animals •Understand scientific ideas and concepts •Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of animal husbandry, animal behavior and zoonosis (diseases that can be transmitted from animals to humans) •Create solutions leading to more positive interactions and relationships between human and animals, and change misconceptions and fears
