Located in the heart of Central Florida, Beacon College offers direct access to a global epicenter of immersive entertainment, tourism innovation, and wildlife engagement. Orlando’s world-renowned attractions and Beacon’s nationally distinctive anthrozoology lab provide a living laboratory for students exploring both Entertainment and Anthrozoology — unique, hands-on experiences rarely found elsewhere. ANTHROZOOLOGY & ENTERTAINMENTTRACKS

Spend your summer discovering the powerful and complex relationships between people and animals. This track explores animal behavior, welfare, conservation, ethics, and the evolving role animals play in human society. Students examine questions such as: Why do we bond with pets? How do working animals support human communities? What responsibilities do humans have toward wildlife and endangered species? This immersive experience includes hands-on interaction with reptiles, birds, mammals, and aquatic species, as well as field trips to shelters, conservation sites, wildlife facilities, and environmental locations. Designed for students who are passionate about animals, this track provides meaningful real-world exposure to potential academic and career pathways in animal studies, conservation, veterinary support fields, advocacy, and environmental science. Note: Enrollment in the Anthrozoology and Entertainment tracks is strictly limited and will be closed once the maximum capacity is reached. Early application and deposit are required for these tracks. ANTHROZOOLOGY TRACK ENTERTAINMENT TRACK From blockbuster films to world-renowned theme parks, today’s entertainment industry blends creativity, psychology, technology, and business strategy to captivate audiences around the globe. This track explores how immersive experiences are conceived, designed, and delivered — with a special focus on Central Florida as a global destination. Students examine the influence of major entertainment leaders such as The Walt Disney Company, along with other industry innovators shaping tourism, hospitality, themed design, and experiential marketing. Learning extends beyond discussion and analysis. Students visit major attractions and entertainment venues, hear from industry professionals, and explore the strategic decisions behind branding, storytelling, audience engagement, and guest experience. Throughout the program, students strengthen skills in critical thinking, communication, research, and analytical writing while exploring career pathways across entertainment, media, tourism, and hospitality industries.
