30th Anniversary History Book

The developmental theme that pervades and unifies Beacon College’s “holistic” undergraduate curriculum takes its identity from the inscription that adorns the college’s official seal: Illuminating the Life Abundant. We have defined the elements of such a life: • Intellectual challenge; • A code of ethical and moral principles; • The healthy mooring of family ties, trusted friendships, and positive social networks; • A lifestyle of wellness across all domains; • Worthy work to sustain an independent lifestyle; • Service in the cause of bettering the larger community, and; • Dreams and ambitions that demand a devotion to lifelong learning.
