financial aid. She also worked with Student Services, organizing and attending student outings, and even opening her home to students over the holidays. Kim later became director of human resources, then associate vice president of human resources. She implemented new initiatives benefiting Beacon employees, including the popular Wellness Program. Kim also was a student, earning her undergraduate and graduate degrees as a Beacon employee. After receiving her master’s degree in 2011, she began teaching at Beacon as an adjunct professor. 25th Anniversary FOUNDERS DAY Kim Baggett first came to Beacon College in

1994 from a local temp agency. She stayed 20 years — surely the longest temp assignment the agency ever had. [At the time], Beacon’s longest-serving employee, Kim had held just about every position imaginable. She started out as a receptionist when the college only had 10 staff, 20 students and two buildings. She took on various roles as needed: working in accounts payable as the registrar, cataloguing books for the newly formed library at the start of the regional accreditation process and processing
